Bring Large-Diameter Pipe Production Closer to the Project by Shunfang

Oversized pipe logistics

Bring Large-Diameter Pipe Production Closer to the Project

For oversized pipe requirements, Shunfang can move pipe-production equipment to the project site for on-site manufacturing. This capability is intended for pipes above 3 metres in diameter and can help address the handling and transport challenges associated with very large pipe sections. Our team also provides technical consultation and installation guidance throughout the project process.

Assess On-Site Production Feasibility

Feasibility before mobilization

On-site production is a project decision, not a standard delivery option.

For pipe projects above 3 metres in diameter, the practical value depends on the site, logistics, schedule and required product system. These inputs should be reviewed before equipment planning begins.

01

Define the pipe system

Confirm the application, diameter basis, wall structure, required performance, pipe length, quantity and connection scope. On-site planning begins only after the product requirement is clear.

02

Review the project location

Assess available production area, access, utilities, lifting, storage, local conditions and the distance between the temporary production area and installation route.

03

Compare logistics routes

Compare conventional factory production and transport with equipment mobilization and field production. Oversized handling, schedule and site constraints determine which route is practical.

04

Plan quality and installation

Align production control, dimensional checks, jointing, inspection, handling and installation guidance with the project programme before mobilization.

Production, equipment and field review

Four views of one on-site production conversation.

Equipment preparation, winding production and inside-pipe review must be planned as one coordinated project workflow.
